    Summary:

    The Marketing Designer is responsible for the creation and evaluation of omnichannel design, marketing and communication strategies and products for Newton Community Education. They will work collaboratively with the team to increase enrollment and revenue and to enhance Newton Community Education’s brand through effective graphic design and copywriting.

    Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications:
    The ideal candidate must be innovative and creative, have a strong knowledge of the publication process, and have the ability to lead the graphic design process. The position requires excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    This position requires a self-starter who easily and meaningfully engages others to achieve organizational goals and fully embraces diversity, equity, and inclusiveness.
    This position requires the following:
    • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communication, Advertising, or other related fields.
    • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, preferably with non-profits and/or educational organizations.
    • Must show a portfolio demonstrating experience designing catalogs, magazines, or similar multi-page print projects; as well as experience designing and deploying emails to targeted customer lists.
    • knowledge of and experience in marketing, advertising, graphic design, copywriting and communication.
    Required Skills:
    Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat), Asana (or other project management software), Google Suite, Microsoft Office, WordPress, Constant Contact, familiarity with customer and product databases.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To):

    • Design and production of all external communications following established branding guide.
      • Email Marketing: Manage email marketing (Constant Contact) including creation of a calendar based on enrollment data, building email subscriber list, and designing and deploying emails to targeted mail lists with a focus on open, click and unsubscribe rates.
      • Print Marketing: Manage the design, production, and voice of all print publications including print vendor management. Design an effective and appealing catalog (InDesign) that boosts enrollments while remaining cost-effective. Manage the catalog mail list with a focus on cost efficiency. Create and manage print project schedules in collaboration with other key contributors. Design and produce flyers, signage, and other print projects as needed.
      • Website Marketing: Manage the development and design of the Newton Community Education website, identifying and partnering with external contractors as needed. Manage website health (SEO, broken links, redirects, search functionality, etc.) and make necessary recommendations and changes. Update website homepage and landing pages regularly.
      • Social Media: Manage social media accounts and create content with a focus on audience reach.
    • Fundraising Support: Support fundraising efforts with collateral as needed including emails, letters, and the annual report.
    • Partnership Marketing: Partner with school and community organizations to advertise scholarship opportunities and course offerings.

    $60,000-75,000, depending on experience. Competitive benefits package.
